The Gulf of Maine is home to many of Maine's most precious resources and some of the best seafood in the world. Maine fishermen have relied on and been protecting the Gulf of Maine for generations but they are increasingly concerned about the direction some want to take to industrialize our oceans to produce energy instead of food.
Maine relies on the Gulf of Maine and fishermen to draw tourism to our coastal communities and to provide us with a bounty of seafood. The ocean is a space for meditation, reflection, recreation, and it is one of the last wild, undeveloped spaces on planet Earth. We must do our part to keep large-scale development out of our ocean waters.
Maine fishermen are fighting for our natural resources, our communities, and our way of life and we are inviting you to join us.
Together, we can make sure that the Gulf of Maine and all of its precious resources are protected now, for our kids, and for many future generations to come. All donations made will be processed and managed by Maine Coast Fishermen's Association.
