An Evening with David McLain

Join us for a conversation with Maine-based photographer and filmmaker David McLain at the Maine Maritime Museum on April 16!

David has captured fishermen on the water and in the intertidal zone, documenting the grueling yet rewarding work they love. His images highlight the physical strength required to harvest seafood, as well as the grit, passion, and purpose that define so many fishermen. The Maine Maritime Museum will also share historical photos of fishermen at work, sparking a discussion about how the industry has changed over time and how those changes affect both a fisherman's business and their bodies.
